The Angel Inn was built in 1802 as an English gentleman's residence and is only five minutes walk from Lake Windermere with its own gardens and grounds and with fantastic Lake District views.
The inn is conveniently located close to the shops, restaurants and attractions in Bowness and Windermere, such as 'The World of Beatrix Potter'. The Angel Inn was refurbished in 2005 and customers return time and time again to enjoy their renowned personal service.

The Angel Inn in Bowness offers 14 en-suite bedrooms each with flat screen television and tea and coffee facilities and some have lake views.
Rooms vary in size and within the main building, accommodation ranges from 7 standard rooms with en-suite shower up to Room 1 which has a view of Lake Windermere, sleigh bed and newly refurbished bathroom with corner bath.
The Lake District inn also has three new rooms situated in The Gatehouse within the grounds of The Angel Inn, including Room 14, their largest room with lounge area, lake views and stunning bathroom with corner bath.

The policy of the The Angel Inn is to use only the freshest produce with the emphasis firmly on local Lake District ingredients and suppliers, so very little of the Bowness inn's food is precooked or frozen. Food is served all day from 8:30am and cooked by award winning chefs, with just one hour’s break between 4pm and 5pm.
Breakfast is always included for resident guests and you can start the day with a full Lakeland breakfast or try something a bit different such as pancakes, crisp bacon and maple syrup or grilled kippers.
Whether formal or informal or a romantic interlude or in the company of friends, there is always a little something for everyone including sandwiches, hot ciabattas, light lunches, traditional pub dishes or full restaurant meals. These are served all day in one of the Angel Inn's lounges, conservatory, restaurant or outside in their terraced garden.
