BinocularsBoggled by binoculars or tempted by telescopes? Whether you are an avid birdwatcher in the Lake District or just enjoy watching the birds on your birdtable, this free event is an opportunity to try out binoculars, telescopes and digiscoping and receive impartial advice.

There will be an extensive range of optics to get your hands on and test out and experts from RSPB Optics will be on hand. Bring your own packed lunch to this event or use RSPB Leighton Moss's own tea room.

Leighton Moss is the largest reedbed in north-west England and home to some very special birds such as breeding bitterns, bearded tits and marsh harriers. The reserve and visitor centre are open daily all year round (except Xmas Day). The reserve is open from 9 am to dusk and the visitor centre from 9.30 am - 5pm (4.30 pm Nov - Jan inclusive).
