Description   Bonfire Night Extravaganza at Lindeth Howe Your Guide 2 Events in Bowness & Windermere   The Lindeth Howe Country House near Bowness-on-Windermere aims to raise thousands of pounds for The Bendrigg Trust at its Bonfire Night Extravaganza on Saturday 5th November, 2011. The top Lake District Hotel stages the firework display and bonfire night each year and attracts hundreds of spectators. A range of traditional Bonfire Night food and drink will be on offer from 6.30pm and will include meat and potato pie, parkin cake, toffee apples and treacle toffee. The firework display will begin at 8pm, when the sky above Windermere will be lit up in a blaze of light and colour. This year's chosen charity is the Bendrigg Trust of Kendal will also receive a substantial donation from the Stoller Charitable Trust, set up by Normal Stoller CBE, one of the owners of Lindeth Howe.   Parking for the event will be at Bowness Bay coach park and a free park and ride service will be available from 6.15pm. This is a free service provided by Mountain Goat and Windermere Lake Cruises.
