Coniston 14 was first run in 1982 and since then has become a popular spring event in the Lake District. It's probably the most beautiful road race in Britain and each year it attracts some 1600 runners with a reputation for being one of the best organised small races in the country.

The Race is organised by an enthusiastic committee of volunteers from Coniston village. The hilly route follows the 13.875 miles of road that circles Coniston lake and there are stunning views of the surrounding Lake District mountains.
