Your Guide 2 Events in the Lake District

red_deer1.jpgJoin the staff at RSPB Leighton Moss for a guided walk to see red deer and other summer wildlife. Early evening is the best time to observe red deer and at dusk bats can also be witnessed.

Booking is required for this walk to look for these fabulous creatures. The 2 hour walks begin at 7:30pm during July and at 7:00pm during August.

rspb_leighton_moss021.jpgRSPB Leighton Moss is the largest reedbed in north-west England and home to some really special birds such as breeding bitterns, bearded tits and marsh harriers.
 
The reserve and visitor centre are open daily all year round (except Christmas Day). The reserve is open from 9 am to dusk and the visitor centre from 9.30 am - 5 pm (4.30 pm November - January inclusive).
