Description   Galloway's Society for the Blind Cross Bay Walk 2013 Your Guide 2 Events in Grange-over-Sands   Join Galloways Society for the Blind and Queen's Appointed Guide Cedric Robinson for their 30th sponsored walk across Morecambe Bay on Saturday 1st or Sunday 2nd June 2013. Cedric Robinson, has been leading walks across the Morecambe sands for fifty years and is renowned as having led thousands of people safely across the once dangerous crossing. The nine mile walk is one of the country's most popular and scenic. It starts from the picturesque promenade of Arnside and ends at Kents Bank near Grange. It takes around 3 hours to complete with panoramic views of the Lakeland hills and those of Lancashire and Yorkshire. The walk will raise funds to support Galloway's Society for the Blind's work with more than 7,000 blind and partially sighted people. Family, friends, children and dogs are all welcome. Places are limited and return transport is on offer from a number of pickups including Chorley, Leyland, Southport, Preston, Garstang, Lancaster and Morecambe.
