Description
Grange Amateur Operatic Society Present Me and My Girl
Your Guide 2 Events in Grange-over-Sands
Grange Amateur Operatic Society present the musical
Me and My Girl
over five nights at the Victoria Hall (pictured right).
Cockney Bill Snibson returns to his Lambeth roots to find his long time girl Sally Smith with Mark and Jennifer Jeffries in the leading roles.
This is a 'must see' show if you enjoy lively, colourful, dance and songs such as
The Lambeth Walk
,
The Sun Has Got His Hat On
,
Leaning on a Lamppost
and
Once You Lose Your Heart
.
The Duchess and Sir John are played by Ann Heap and Derek Roberts, Lady Jacqueline by Samantha Grundy, with newcomer to the
Grange Amateur Operatic Society
Howard St.Quentin as Gerald. Parchester, the family solicitor, is played by Mick Malkin and Lord and Lady Battersby are performed by Malcolm Higginson and Rachel Muir. This is a real Downton Abbey which
will have you laughing at the extraordinary antics of the 'upper classes'
with the 'understairs' well represented by some good character acting. The show is directed by Christine Bell with musical direction by Tom Gray.
Curtain up at
7:30pm
nightly with a Saturday matinee at
2:30pm
Tickets are available at
Butterfingers
cafe in Main Street or tel.
