Description   Grasmere Channel Swim In Aid Of The Cystic Fibrosis Trust Your Guide 2 Events in Grasmere & the Lake District   The Grasmere Channel Swim takes place on Saturday July 7th 2012. Open water swims are hugely popular across the UK and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust are offering you the chance to swim in the beautiful setting of Grasmere Lake, "the most loveliest spot that man hath found" according to Wordsworth. It's one of the smaller lakes in the English Lake District and you can choose to swim 1k or 2k from Banerigg landing stage to the far shore, and back if you're doing the 2k! All swimmers must wear a wetsuit and will be allocated a swim time over the weekend. Safety boats will be in the water with you at all times. With the invitation to pack a picnic, have fun at the hog roast Ceilidh plus excellent rates for camping/campervans or local B&Bs and hotels, why not stay the weekend?
