Description Coppermines Grizedale Rally Stages 2011 Your Guide 2 Events in Coniston and the Lake District   The Grizedale Rally Stages 2011 is high speed rally car racing through the Grizedale Forest with car drivers competing for overall winning position. Last year's event had be called off through heavy snow and this year's route and format are the same as planned for last year with one stage on Saturday 26th and six stages on Sunday 27th November, 2011. The Saturday evening stage begins from Coniston Main Car Park at 6:30pm with 5 road miles and 7 stage miles. A short emergency service follows the stage. Sunday has two long stages in Grizedale (9 miles and 6 miles), followed by Service A (30mins). Then out to Dunnerdale for a short (2.5 miles) stage run twice, dove-tailing in at 30 second intervals. Then back for another 30 minute Service and then a repeat of the two long stages in Grizedale. In total the stage mileage is 42 miles.   This is the 23rd running of the rally which will involve 100 competing crews, 400 marshals, officials and medical staff with an expectation of 4,000 spectators.
