Kendal MuseumFounded in 1796, Kendal Museum is one of the county's oldest museums. The fascinating collections include local archaeology, history, geology and a natural history collection from around the globe.

Children and families are welcome, with hands-on exhibitions and activities during school holidays. Exhibits include one of the finest taxidermy collections in Europe including a detailed re-creation of the now extinct Dodo.
