Description   Lake District Summer Music Festival Winter Concerts Your Guide 2 The Lake District Events   The Patrons of Lake District Summer Music present four winter concerts as preludes to their annual international summer festival. Proceeds from the concerts will go towards the Patrons scholarship fund will provides for young professionals and students to attend the International Lake District Summer Music Academy and Festival in August 2012. Thursday 26th January 2012 - Heath String Quartet (pictured right) - one of this country's leading young quartets who will be performing Beethoven String Quartet in E flat major, Op.74, 'Harp' Janacek String Quartet No.1, 'Kreutzer Sonata', JW7/8 Mendelssohn String Quartet in E flat major, Op.12.   Thursday 23rd February 2012 - Morgan Szymanski (guitar) - works will include Sor Introduction and Variations on a Theme by Mozart, Op.9 Albeniz Spanish Pieces Lauro Venezuelan Waltzes Bellinati Jongo Thursday 29th March 2012 - Absolution Saxophone Quartet - their programme will include works by Gershwin, Piazzola and Ravel.   Thursday 26th April 2012 - Lisa Ueda (violin) and Daniele Rinaldo (piano) (pictured right) - Performing Brahms Sonata No.1 in G major, Op.78 Janacek Sonata for violin and piano Beethoven Sonata No.10 in G major, Op.96 Franck Sonata for violin and piano in A major.   All concerts: 2:30pm  |  Admission: £11 adults, £3 students/children  Tickets available from Jane on 015395 67900 jane.thompson@btconnect.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------  Lake District Summer Music Festival Winter Concerts - Your Events Guide for the Lake District and Cumbria
