Lakeland Hideaways was created by Gary and Ruth some twenty years ago with the aim of putting personal service back into the letting of holiday homes. All their self-catering cottages are within four miles of the beautiful village of Hawkshead, so they know their cottages inside out. Lakeland Hideaways pride themselves in offering outstanding levels of customer care and service to ensure that you have the perfect, relaxing holiday. The office in the village is open each day, offering friendly support with great local knowledge.

The Perfect Cottage to Match Your Requirements

Self-catering gives you the flexibility to set your own pace and truly relax. Whether you want a three night winter break or a full week, let Lakeland Hideaways arrange the perfect cottage to match your requirements. Whichever cottage you choose you are never more than three miles from their office in Hawkshead, where help is at hand to sort out any problems. Lakeland Hideaways also offer round the clock telephone support - no call centres!

Real fires and internet access are available at many cottages and there's a wide selection of dog-friendly cottages available where clients can bring along their own pets. With the increasing cost of kennel fees, many dog-lovers take the opportunity to walk the stunning Lakeland fells accompanied by their family pet.

Free fishing is also available on Esthwaite Water for clients staying at the Lakeland Hideaways cottages at Esthwaite farm. A permit will be issued at their office for those wishing to take advantage of this offer.

A full information pack is in each cottage which tells clients everything they need to know. Each cottage is prepared during the morning before your arrival and essentials like toilet and kitchen rolls, J cloths and washing up liquid or dishwasher tablets are provided to start you off. All fuel costs are included in the price of the holiday.
