If you are visiting the Lake District or Cumbria, Silloth on Solway Golf Club is not to be missed! Situated on the north west coast of Cumbria, it is off the beaten track, but it is well worth a visit. A championship links course, it has been rated in the top fifty courses in Britain and Ireland by Golf World magazine, and in the top ten links golf courses in England. The course has views of the Galloway Hills to the north, and south to the Lakeland fells and the distant Isle of Man.The Fairways are linned with heather, bent and sandy waste areas. A great test of golf, especially when the wind blows!
