The Wheatsheaf at Brigsteer, Kendal, on the outskirts of the Lake District is an historic building with parts of the inn dating back to 1762. Originally three cottages and a shoeing room for horses, it became a licensed public house in the early 1800s.
Located in the picturesque hamlet of Brigsteer just 3 miles from Kendal and at the foot of Scout Scar with its fabulous panoramic views, it really is at the gateway to the Lake District
Morecambe Bay is located at one side of the public house and the Old Man of Coniston fell is at the other. An ideal base for walkers and visitors to the Lake District
