Description   Ullswater Steamers Easter Fun with Sammy the Squirrel Your Guide 2 Events in Ullswater   Have some Eggtastic Fun on Ullswater 'Steamers' from March 31st to April 15th 2012 where there will be children's activities, competitions and games daily throughout the holidays. The 'Steamers' Kids' Club will be launched and on Tuesday 3rd April, the first 50 kids will go free on the 10:30am sailing from Glenridding Pier House as well as receive their own Kid's Club Activity Pack. Sammy the Squirrel will be there all day to host activities and join in the fun! Steamers mascot, Sammy the Squirrel, has mischievously hidden little Sammy key-rings and other items around the three service boats operated by the Steamers and is chirruping away to himself wondering if children will be able to find them and win a prize. Another I-spy quiz will be hidden in the lake guides that passengers receive when sailing and this will give entrants a chance to win family tickets for another cruise. Easter on the lake is a glorious time to sail in the reflections of the mountains, picking out some of the famous peaks, including mighty Helvellyn, during a 65-minute sailing from Glenridding to Pooley Bridge, or a round-the-lake 140-minute sail. Passengers can download a commentary to their i-Phone or MP3, if they want to learn more about a lake steeped in Arthurian legend and mystery and enjoy refreshments and snacks on board. With all the scenic beauty and the sense of nature coming to life in the Lake District after a long winter nap, an Ullswater Steamers cruise can provide the feel-good factor that spring brings and the invigoration that many tired and stressed-out executives need. A 65-minute sailing costs £8.50 for an adult and £4.25 for a child (single fare).
