Fell Brewery is a craft brewery located in Flookburgh, near Grange-over-Sands in South Cumbria. Started in Spring 2013, the brewery is the consequence of two local lads, Tim Bloomer and Andrew Carter (below), who liked weird beer and should perhaps have known better! Now up and running, Fell Brewery is producing ales in their signature progressive style with a focus on modern influences, balance and drinkability.

Fell Brewery Owners

While new recipes are being developed all the time and seasonal beers are available at different points throughout the year, Fell Brewery's core range is available in cask and bottle all year round:

fell_brewery13.jpg• Progressive Pale – An exercise in balance and restraint, Progressive Pale provides a gateway into the domain and potential of New World hops. Relatively low in bitterness and with an uncomplicated malt base, the hops are added late and in abundance. Clean, measured but big in all the right places. A sessionable beer? We certainly could. (5.1% ABV).

fell_brewery14.jpg• Robust Porter – Having disappeared for all the wrong reasons, it's official… Porters are back! This offering from Fell Brewery is all about chocolate malt with sympathetic hop additions. Pronounced yet elegant, this is truly a food beer. The roasted flavours will complement anything with a degree of caramelisation and charring. From crème brulee to seared scallops, this beer brings the thunder. (4.8% ABV).

fell_brewery15.jpg• AAA – Sometimes only a beer will do, and AAA has been made for those moments. Easy-drinking either on its own or with food, this beer is about balance. A biscuity malt base lays a platform for an intriguing addition of a woefully underrated hop, leading to a rounded, satisfying finish. An amber ale with American influences, don't overthink it. Just drink it. (4.4% ABV).

fell_brewery16.jpg• Tinderbox IPA – Lighting fires is a serious business. A tinderbox brings an old-school, considered approach to proceedings. Great care and much planning have gone into the development of this recipe and the flavour journey that it delivers. Fell Brewery hope that this IPA will light many a fire in the hearts of hop lovers and deliver the unique joy that only this legendary style can. If you're gonna start a fire, sometimes the old ways are the best ways. (6.3% ABV).
