John Ruskin School
John Ruskin School in Coniston is a comprehensive mixed community school for 11 to 16-year-olds situated in beautiful surroundings and serving the communities of Hawkshead, Langdale and Broughton, as well as Coniston. John Ruskin School places much value on the environment and has achieved the Bronze Eco-Schools Award and Geography Mark.
The school also hosts the Coniston 14 Run, the Guide Dog for the Blind Challenge and other outdoor events and is a member of the Coniston and Crake Partnership and The Royal Geographical Society. A new design and technology centre was opened recently by local MP Tim Farron.
