Kendal Bowmen Archery Club
Kendal Bowmen Archery Club was formed in 1972 and has around 70 members. The club holds beginners' archery courses throughout the year to introduce newcomers to the sport, with qualified coaches and all equipment supplied. Bows are available to suit all ages and abilities and the club has a good mix of longbow, recurve and compound archers shooting both target and field.
Outdoors shooting takes place between April and October at Kendal Cricket Club on Wednesday and Friday evenings for both seniors and juniors from 5.30pm. Outdoor shooting takes place on Tuesday evenings at Kendal Rugby Club from 6.30pm. Indoor shooting for members of Kendal Bowmen Archery Club takes place in Kirkland Parish Hall, Kendal on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from 7pm - 9pm.
