The 40 seater café (formerly known as Silver Yard Cafe) serves food freshly-prepared with ingredients locally-sourced wherever possible. Meat is sourced from a local farm shop with tea and coffee from Farrers. There is also a Specials Board with a roast available on Sundays.

Orton Scar Cafe is situated less than 5 minutes from motorway junction 38 on the Tebay to Appleby Road, nestled below the dramatic limestone scenery of Orton Scar. Cyclists, motorbikers and rambling groups are all welcome, although please call in advance if your party numbers more than 10.
