Take part in this stunning walk across Morecambe Bay led by Cedric Robinson MBE, the Queen's Official Guide to the Sands, to raise funds to support the work of the Abaseen Foundation in one of the most deprived areas of NW Pakistan. The walk departs from Arnside promenade and will cross the sands to Kents Bank Train Station near Grange-over-Sands, arriving a few hours later. The length of the walk varies from 6-8 miles depending on the route Cedric takes on the day through the channels (and around any quicksand obviously - which is why he is the Queens guide!). Children and anyone comfortable walking for approximately 3 to 4 hours are welcome. There are usually some channels to wade through, so be prepared to get wet. Dogs are more welcome.

Registration is just £10 for adults and £5 for children over 9. Children must be accompanied by an adult guardian. Places are limited and will be issued on a first come, first served basis.

The Abaseen Foundation is a pioneering charity working to improve the lives of people in one of the poorest and most deprived areas of Khyber Pakhtunhwa, north west Pakistan.  Natural disasters like floods and earthquakes, and the man-made disaster of global terrorism, have resulted in this being one of the world's most destitute and dangerous areas and the Abaseen Foundation aims to relieve this as much as possible through educating the children in our schools.
