The characters in the art gallery and museum have come to life! The Museum at Night Experience is a unique opportunity for families to explore Abbot Hall Art Gallery and the Museum of Lakeland Life and Industry after hours. You will be able to participate in a mystery trail to find out how the characters have come to life. You can engage with characters from the iconic Abbot Hall paintings and people from the Museum’s collections to uncover clues and decipher exactly how and why the characters have been able to come alive.

After you have solved the mystery, you can enjoy a film screening of Night at the Museum (2006, rated PG). For the most enjoyable viewing experience, it is recommended that you bring a cushion and blanket with you. You’ll also be one of the first visitors to experience Abbot Hall's brand new, family friendly café. Timetable: 5pm to 6:30pm – Museums at Night Mystery Tour; 6:30pm to 8:30pm – Night at the Museum film screening.

You can choose to attend: The Museum at Night Experience (Museum at Night Mystery Tour & Night at the Museum film screening) - £9 for adults and £4 for children. Or the Museums at Night Mystery Tour - £5 per adult (children can attend this part of the event for free – maximum 4 children per adult).
