For their summer programme Allegri will begin by commemorating Telemann's death 250 years ago by performing his cantata Machet die Tore Weit. They will continue with two pieces by Vaughan Williams: the Te Deum and his much-loved Serenade to Music. The second half is devoted to Handel's glorious Te Deum, written to celebrate the Treaty of Utrecht in 1713. The performance on Saturday June 3rd takes place at St Andrew’s Church, Sedbergh and on Sunday June 4th 2017 at St Cuthbert's Church, Kentmere. Admission is free with a retiring collection for church and choir.

Formed more than ten years ago, Allegri has gained a strong reputation for singing programmes full of interest for both singers and audiences.
