Curious to know a little more about the Brontë family and what inspired these three unusual sisters to create work that still surprises and intrigues today? Caroline Lamb, who plays Emily Brontë in Dangerous To Know's upcoming production of The Dissolution of Percy is visiting connected sites all around the North of England, reading the sisters' poetry and prose, along with work and a rather naughty letter written by their brother. Each piece is interwoven with stories, rumours and mysteries that arise when looking further into the lives of this peculiar and unique family.

The Dissolution of Percy focuses particularly on Branwell Brontë and his relationship with his sisters. In Ambleside, Branwell once forged a connection that had the potential to set him on the path to greatness. Why did nothing become of it? Hear this, and more, discussed within the cozy confines of Ambleside Library. Audience members are able to send in their own piece of writing to be read on the night by emailing dtkmanchester(at)gmail.com in advance.
