Join this unique walk and raise funds for CancerCare on the breathtakingly beautiful Morecambe Bay. You will be walking with the Queen’s Guide to the Sands, Cedric Robinson MBE, to complete a challenge that will take you on a memorable adventure across the Bay.

You will leave the shore from Arnside Promenade before arriving at Kents Bank Railway Station. Due to the unique terrain of the Bay, the exact distance cannot be guaranteed, however it will get as close to 8½ miles as can be! The walk takes approximately 3 - 4 hours.

CancerCare is a unique local charity that gives much needed support to people with a diagnosis of cancer or other life limiting condition. Since 1983, the charity has been a lifeline to people, offering a range of therapeutic services, completely free of charge, to cancer patients and their families and carers. CancerCare are currently able to support around 1,500 people every year, both adults and children, throughout North Lancashire and South Lakeland.

Without CancerCare's help, many more people in our local community would struggle to cope alone.
They are a completely independent local charity and only 17% of the income that they need comes from services commissioned by the NHS. That means CancerCare has to raise 83% themselves. It is only through fundraising and generous donations from local people that they are able to fund their vital support services.
