Coniston 14 Road Race 2017
Saturday 25th March 2017 - This event has finished
This year's Coniston 14 road race takes place on March 25th 2017. It was first run in 1982 and since then has become a popular spring event in the Lake District. It's probably the most beautiful road race in Britain and each year attracts some 1600 runners with a reputation for being one of the best organised small races in the country. There's also a short run for children.
The race is organised by an enthusiastic committee of volunteers from Coniston village and is its largest annual community event. The hilly route follows the 13.875 miles of road that circles Coniston lake and there are stunning views of the surrounding Lake District mountains. Each year over £20,000 is raised and donated to about 30 local charities and clubs. Register Online
