The weekend of 29th and 30th September 2018 sees 63 artists taking part in the much anticipated Green Door Art Trail in 26 venues across South Cumbria and North Lancashire. The depth and breadth of members' work will be on display including ceramics, drawing, glass, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, textiles and wood, as well as smaller items such as jewellery and greetings cards.

Visitors can find Trail venues from Burton-in-Kendal in the south, up to Kendal and across to Grange-over-Sands, Coniston and Ulverston. Group venues are the Courtroom at Preston Patrick, the Athenaeum at Leasgill near Milnthorpe, the Green Door studios on Market Place in Kendal and Greenodd Village Hall.

Some artists will be giving demonstrations and all of them are looking forward to talking about their work and how they create it. All Trail venues are open on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th September and a number are also opening on Friday 28th September, especially in the evening, so everyone can get a head start on their Trail visiting. Look out for timings in the catalogue as you plan your route.

Download a catalogue or pick one up at key info points across Cumbria and Lancashire. Look out for the distinctive, colourful stripes.
Green Door Studios is a self-organised, not for profit organisation, which was formed in 1995 by a collective of independent contemporary artists based in Kendal. The group has been involved in many educational and community projects and is committed to making contemporary art accessible to south Lakes residents and visitors.
