Kendal G&S Society (KADGASS) present the Gilbert & Sullivan favourite ‘The Mikado’ (or ‘The Town of Titipu’) in Kendal Town Hall from Wednesday 14th March to Friday 16th 2018. Then on Saturday 17th March it will be transported to The Victoria Hall in Grange for a one-off performance.

The title role is being reprised by Bryan Johnson who played it the last time it was performed by KADGASS in 2011. Bryan has been with the Society since 1985 and is on-stage for the 23rd time. Also returning from the previous show is Jim Thompson who played Pish-Tush in 2011 and is starring in the central role of Ko-Ko, The Lord High Executioner, this time.

The remaining male characters are played by Matthew Armstrong (Nanki-Poo, a wandering minstrel and son of The Mikado), Graham Beevers (Pooh-Bah, The Lord High Everything Else) and Iain Lamb (Pish-Tush, a Noble Lord); whilst the three little maids are played by Emily Robinson (Yum-Yum), Rebecca Chandler (Pitti-Sing) and Jenny Brooks (Peep-Bo) which is worth the entry fee alone. The icing on the cake is provided by Sue Richardson who becomes Katisha, an elderly lady in love with Nanki-Poo.

The show can be seen in Kendal Town Hall from Wednesday 14th March to Friday 16th March at 7.30pm and tickets are available from the Brewery Arts Centre Box Office 01539 725133.
