Walk Across Morecambe Bay for One Woman at a Time, a small local charity that identifies and assists women of any age to achieve a helping hand in gaining education, training and employment to change their own and their families future. This includes the relief and assistance of girls and women fearing FGM (Female Genital Mutilation), early marriage and or poverty in Kenya and Nigeria.

The walk across the Bay is not only unforgettable because of the beautiful views of the Lakeland hills beyond. It's challenging too, 8 miles, over sand, sea, rocky ground and knee deep in water at times. You will walk in the steps of the many before you. Imagine the history you are stepping into, walking with Neolithic woman across Morecambe Bay. The indescribable pleasure of views that you and your camera can share. If at any time you are tired, there are tractors for a ride.

The Queen's Guide, Cedric Robinson MBE will lead us with other guides onto the sands setting off at 9am sharp. You can also meet Leanne Brown, patron of One Woman at a Time on the walk. Hanging up her high heels for the day!

Please be sensible. Do use sensible shoes, towel, sunhat, sun cream plasters, drink, water bowl for dog. 50 places are available for this walk. No children under 7 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available from the organiser, contacts and other venues in Cumbria.
