About Hawkshead- Your Guide 2 The Lake District

The quaint village of Hawkshead is a civil parish lying within a conservation area and has remained largely untouched for the past 300 years.
Often described as the "prettiest village in the Lake District" with its whitewashed houses, alleyways, courtyards and squares. It is one of the main tourist honeypots in the South Lakeland area, and is very dependent on the local tourist trade. Please note that parking is an issue as it is a small village and often the main car park is the only place to park and charges apply
