The Wheatsheaf is Named a Top Pub in England & Wales!
The Wheatsheaf at Brigsteer has been named one of the top three pubs in England and Wales with rooms. The respected Sawday's Pubs & Inns travel guide has described the Wheatsheaf's bunkhouse rooms as "quirky and hugely comfortable", complete with a taxi service to the recently renovated pub. This year Beetham Nurseries are celebrating thirty years in business. The family concern near Milnthorpe began in 1984 from a small potting shed and over three decades have blossomed into the huge garden centre, plant nursery, food shop and cafe that it is today. Although much has changed physically, the garden centre say their core intrinsic values and beliefs from 30 years ago that make up today's family business are still intact. World of Beatrix Potter takes Gold at Chelsea Flower Show
The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction's Peter Rabbit Garden designer Richard Lucas has been awarded a Gold medal at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show. Richard worked alongside plant nursery Hooksgreen Herbs from Stone in Staffordshire, who grew and supplied the herbs and plants, to create a magical Peter Rabbit Herb Garden.
