Alexander's The Pub is a warm and friendly Westmorland real ale pub set in the grounds of Best Western Castle Green Hotel in Kendal. Alexander's places a considerable emphasis on sourcing locally-produced pub food and is also one of the best real ale pubs in Cumbria. Their bar is well stocked with names you'll recognise as well as local brews.

Les, the landlord at Alexander's, is passionate about real ales and has recently been nominated by the local CAMRA association for inclusion in the Good Beer Guide 2011. Alexander's source their ales mainly from breweries at Hawkshead, Coniston and Dent offering  their customers a true flavour of the Lake District alongside more recognisable alcoholic beverages.
