Boat Trips in The Lake District

Are you looking for a boat trip in the Lake District? There are plenty of opportunities for boat trips on the larger lakes of Coniston, Windermere and Ullswater.

Winderemere Lake Cruises run a daily service from Lakeside (Newby Bridge) up to Bowness and then on to Ambleside. A day ticket lets you jump off and on at any of the stops throughout the day.

A similar service is run from Coniston Boating Centre where the Steam Yacht Gondola (National Trust) is based. Rowing boats canoes and dinghys are available for hire, adjacent to the Bluebird Cafe.

Ullswater Steamers operate from Pooley Bridge, with a service running up and down the lake

There are plenty of rowing boats for hire on most of the main lakes and on Winderemere you can charter boats with a skipper and food and drink for the day!
