Bootleggers Music Bar in Kendal Town centre, hosts live bands three or four nights per week, usually on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. It really is the best place for live music in Kendal and it's always best to get there early.
Many top acts play at Bootleggers. Over the last year, Irish stars Eleanor McEvoy, Grainne Duffy and Mary Coughlan have been booked to perform. So have Canadian band The Trews, Wolfsbane, Wishbone Ash, Virgin Marys, Aynsley Lister, Lotte Mullan and singer / songwriter Toby Jepson amongst countless others. Many gigs are free and are an opportunity some of the region's finest up-and-coming acts.
