Accommodation is also available through The Kings Arms, with three cottages that sleep up to
four, five and six persons.
West
View (pictured right) sleeps 6
persons and is a bright, three bedroomed 16th century cottage that has recently been renovated. Self-West View is conveniently near to all of the
amenities in Hawkshead village
and has private parking for
two cars and a small garden and patio overlooking fields and forest. Self-West View is a lovely haven to relax in and enjoy!
Flag Cottage
which sleeps 5
persons is an 18th century
cottage in the heart of Hawkshead village. The ground floor accommodation consists of a a double bedroom with private
facilities and a fully
fitted kitchen. Upstairs there is a second double bedroom with en-suite
bathroom, a single bedroom and a snug sitting room with modern gas
stove.
Fern Cottage
which sleeps 4
persons is a quaint 18th
century Lake District cottage located in a quiet yard off the Square in
the centre of the village. At one time it was the Hawkshead police house, but now the old lock-up and
office is a spacious kitchen / dining area. A twisting staircase leads
from a cosy sitting room with open fire to two double en-suite bedrooms,
each with colour TV.
Children and well-behaved dogs are welcome at the Kings Arms!

Dining at the Kings Arms inn in Hawkshead
is informal with a choice of food to suit all tastes. Imaginative
traditional and continental cuisine is served in the Bar area and in
their Dining Room. Daily 'special' dishes provide additional interest
and are accompanied by a wide choice of wines that are available at reasonable
prices.
Bar meals and light snacks are served
in the Hawkshead hostelry from 12noon to 2:30 pm and from 6pm
to 9:30pm. Packed lunches can also be provided upon request.
