A 17th Century Coaching Inn, in a quiet village setting - a multi-award winning CAMRA pub The White Hart Inn is a classic country pub, set in the attractive village of Bouth, which
is situated almost half way between the southern end of Lake Windermere
and Coniston in the Lake District National Park. Originally a Coaching
Inn dating back to the 1600's when the main road (then just a turnpike)
ran between Ireleth and Kendal and passed through the village of Bouth.
The Village itself has been awarded "Cumbria's best kept village" in the
past and also placed in the top three on several occasions. The White
Hart Inn is an excellent retreat after a day of walking, rock climbing,
cycling or fishing. It's a great place to relax and get away from it all
and is a good base for low level walking or cycling routes.

Hart five distinctions in recent years. The last award was in 2008 when

Owned
by the same local couple since 1998, the interior remains remarkable
and unspoilt with log fires and some original flagged floors. The walls
are full of photographs and artifacts that depict local history and
stretch back hundreds of years, creating a cosy traditional Lakeland Inn
