Situated in the vale of Esthwaite at the heart of the Lake District, Hawkshead is in a conservation area and has remained largely untouched for the past 300 years. It's often described as the "prettiest village in the Lake District" with its whitewashed houses, alleyways, cobbled streets, courtyards and squares.

Poet William Wordsworth was educated in Hawkshead and Beatrix Potter lived nearby. Hawkshead in its picturesque, central setting is the perfect location for a quiet, relaxing holiday from where you can enjoy the Lake District and its many attractions.
